The Level 2 NVQ Certificate in Plant Operations (Construction) – Compact Cranes, Overhead Cranes, Hoists, Lorry Loaders, Skip Handlers – is a nationally recognised proof of competence for persons required to operate Compact Cranes, Overhead Cranes, Hoists, Lorry Loaders or Skip Handlers on construction sites.

The Construction Plant Competence Scheme (CPCS) provides skills certifications/cards for the plant sector of the construction and allied industries.

Achieving this qualification is one of the major requirements for upgrading from a Trained Operator CPCS card to a Competent Operator CPCS card.

There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification.

ASQ will carry out an initial assessment of candidate skills and knowledge to identify any gaps and help plan the assessment.

Each candidate is required to produce a portfolio of evidence which demonstrates their achievement of all of the learning outcomes and assessment criteria for each unit.
