Equality and Diversity Policy

POLICY

At ASQ Construction Services LTD we are dedicated to encouraging a supportive and inclusive culture amongst the whole workforce. ALL Assessors, Internal Quality Assurers, Trainers, Learners and any other staff working with this Organization will be expected to read, understand, and accept the Equality and Diversity Policy promoted by the Awarding Organization, especially with regard to recruitment, assessment of NVQ and QCF Learners. This must also extend to the training of all CITB Delegates.

It is within our best interest to promote diversity and eliminate discrimination in the workplace.

Our aim is to ensure that all Assessors, Internal Quality Assurers, Trainers, Learners and any other staff working with this Organization are given equal opportunity and that our organization is representative of all sections of society. Each person will be respected and valued and able to give their best as a result.

This policy reinforces our commitment to providing equality and fairness to all in our employment and not provide less favorable facilities or treatment on the grounds of age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, ethnic origin, colour, nationality, national origin, religion or belief, or sex and sexual orientation. We are opposed to all forms of unlawful and unfair discrimination.

All Assessors, Internal Quality Assurers, Trainers, Learners and any other staff working with this Organization, no matter whether they are part-time, full-time, or temporary, will be treated fairly and with respect. SCOPE

The Disability Discrimination Policy covers all staff, job applicants and students. This also covers employees who become disabled during their employment. Where relevant it also covers staff employed by outside agencies working on ASQ’s premises.

All Assessors, Internal Quality Assurers, Trainers, Learners and any other staff working with this Organization will be given help and encouragement to develop their full potential and utilize their unique talents. Therefore, the skills and resources of our organization will be fully utilized and we will maximize the efficiency of our whole workforce.

ASQ CONSTRUCTION SERVICES LIMITED’S Commitments
  • To ensure that NVQ and QCF Assessment should be both accessible and fair to each and every Learner, without prejudice or discrimination of any kind, and regardless as far as is reasonably possible of working conditions (eg night or week end shift, remote site, etc.).
  • To create an environment in which individual differences and the contributions of all team members are recognized and valued.
  • To create a working environment that promotes dignity and respect for every employee, Assessors, Internal Quality Assurers, Trainers, Learners
  • To not tolerate any form of intimidation, bullying, or harassment, and to discipline those that breach this policy.
  • To ensure that issues regarding equality and diversity is discussed as a regular item at staff meetings, and any difficulties with adhering to this will be recorded any change in Policy communicated to the people involved.
  • To encourage and assist in training, development, and progression opportunities available to all Assessors, Internal Quality Assurers, Trainers, Learners and any other staff working with this organization.
  • To promote equality in the workplace, which ASQ Construction Services LTD believes is good management practice and makes sound business sense
  • To encourage anyone who feels they have been subject to discrimination to raise their concerns so we can apply corrective measures.
  • To encourage employees to treat everyone with dignity and respect.
  • To regularly review all our employment practices and procedures so that fairness is maintained at all times.

ASQ Construction Services LTD will inform all employees that an equality and diversity policy is in operation and that they are obligated to comply with its requirements and promote fairness in the workplace. The policy will also be drawn to the attention of funding agencies, stakeholders, customers, learners, and job applicants.

ASQ Construction Services LTD equality and diversity policy is fully supported by senior management and our policy will be monitored and reviewed annually to ensure that equality and diversity is continually promoted in the workplace.
