Level 3 Diploma In Steel Erecting
The aim of this qualification is to recognise the knowledge, skills and competence of individuals who specialise in steel erecting in the construction and engineering industries.
The awarding organisation for this qualification is ProQual Awarding Body and the regulatory body is the Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation (Ofqual).

On completion of this qualification, candidtate will have obtained the skills, knowledge and understanding and demonstrated competence to progress on to a higher level qualification in the same or similar occupational area or enable entry into supervisory and management positions within the workplace.

Course Content
Candidates must complete all of the Mandatory units.
- Contribute to effective working relationships in steel erection
- Work safely and minimise risk in steel erection
- Identify and deal with hazards and emergencies in steel erection
- Prepare structural leads for moving and installing
- Move structural steel sections
- Install structural steelwork components
- Work safely at height on steel structures
- Assemble bolted joints in structural steelwork
Candidates may also complete any of the Additional Units.
